Our History
Founded in 1990 through the unique partnership of Jacob Geron and Tavia and Daniel Gordon—veterans with over 50 years in the paper industry—Eagle Paper International has grown from a small exporter of stock lots into a global paper trading powerhouse.
Over the years, we’ve built a strong network of mills, customers, and trading partners across the globe.
In 2009, following the retirement of Tavia and Daniel Gordon, Continental Paper Grading (CPG)—one of the largest privately held paper recovery companies in the U.S., led by Bill Harrow—acquired their shares, marking the beginning of a productive and long-standing collaboration.
This partnership contributed significantly to Eagle’s expansion and success over the following 15 years.
In March 2025, Eagle Paper International entered a new era, returning to full family ownership under the Geron family.
This strategic transition, led by the second generation—Raz and Lior Geron—positions the company for continued growth, agility, and innovation.
Today, Eagle operates through two main divisions: the Paper Division, headed by founder Jacob Geron, and the Finished Product Division, led by Raz and Lior.
From our headquarters in Virginia Beach, VA, and offices overseas, our experienced team manages global operations, including logistics, financing, sales, and customer service.
With a presence in North America, Central and South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, the Gulf region, and Asia, we handle hundreds of thousands of tons of paper annually—ranging from industrial packaging and tissue to lightweight specialty grades.
